The abrasion resistance performance of SUNELAST® ER surpasses that of general FKMs and similar functional materials from other companies, and is comparable to that of carbon-blended FKM.

O-ring appearance after being held at 180°C while compressed at 65% compression ratio.
SUNELAST® EC has extremely high compressibility and remains intact even under conditions that would cause conventional fluoroelastomers to fail.
This performance makes it suitable for applications where higher sealing performance than usual is required or where the space available for the O-ring groove is limited.

Measurement results for the coating thickness of O-rings made of SC coated 12E6. The 25 µm film thickness is formed in a controlled range of ±5 µm.

Reaction Force Analysis of Silver-plated Metal Seals

The reaction forces of metal O-ring at room temperature and at operating temperature (400°C) are analyzed using a nonlinear FEM solver. We are able to perform accurate simulation considering temperature dependence of material strength, thermal expansion, and softening of plating at high temperatures.

O-ring Injection Molding Analysis

The results of the injection molding process analysis of rubber O-rings provide information for optimizing the mold structure and molding conditions. Optimization time through conventional trial-and-error was successfully shortened significantly.
